Is it possible too put banjo or bouzouki strings on a acoustic guitar? Are the strings too short/long or will they fit? Has anybody tried this? Do i have too adjust my neck? Do i have to make a new saddle and/or nut?

Many questions :burnout:

What are you trying to accomplish? There's something called 'Nashville tuning' that uses very light strings on the 4-6 strings to make a six sound a bit like a twelve; I think people used to use banjo strings for that.

But I'd love to hear what you are trying to do, as it sounds pretty cool. :)

I have nashville tunign on one of my acoustics right now, i even started a thread about not to long ago. I heard from a friend some time ago that Clapton used to have for some time a banjo low e string on his guitars, can any one confirm this?
