They are installed in a LP Studio, I Love the Bridge tone, but The Neck has way too much Mids for my taste.
I don't know if they come w/A2 or A5.... before thinking about Mag swapping, I am thinking about Two Mods.
!st, Can I do 50's Wiring only in the Neck?
2nd,Swapping tone pot to 500K ??
And it has one of those solderless Kit :cussing:

Any inputs well be appreciate It,

Thank You all !!!

1. I don't see why not.
2. Ditto.
3. I've never seen Bartolinis do solderless, nor build a pickup you can swap mags in - usually they're epoxy potted, and you have more soldering options than you really want.

Pics or GTFO. :-)

Also, if you don't want it... :naughty

You could convert one of your controls to a passive bass cut or a q-filter.

Re: Bartolini Jazz Neck , too Rounded for me, I Need more Treble...!!!

Yup.

With the right components, wired the right way, you can cut bass, cut treble, and even mids (but they're a touch more tricky). Cut only, mind you. To boost you need an active circuit.

But I would start with trying a 500k pot. A 250k would likely kill too much treble, giving you the impression the pickup is too warm.

I have a decent collection of Bartolinis, and I've never been able to describe one as muddy. Not even in my incredibly bassy Spector ARC.

How about wiring the neck pickup with a series/parallel switch? Series will sound exactly the way it is sounding now and parallel would be a brighter sound.

And the Bartolini wire colors are:
Black
Red
White
Green

Sorry, you lost me Here...As far as I know they are passive, and we talking guitar pup's , right ?..
Both are subtle but effective passive circuits. The q-filter is an inductor that you can buy from Bill Lawrence for $20.

I learn today the they come with Ceramic Magnets, if I swap for an A5, wouln't make difference, be more Scooped and more treble ????

I'm telling you, unless they have taken a drastic change in their manufacturing, you're not swapping mags in that thing. They seal the whole blessed thing in a black epoxy - coil, magnet, and anything else they've got wedged inside it.

Read the text here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bartolini-PBF57-Jazz-Humbucker-Bridge-Pickup-PBF57-Black-NEW-/231153402161, specifically :
The tone of the PBF series pickups is simply our distillation of the best features of Vintage Humbucker tone. All PBF series pickups are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics.

Seriously, try a 500k pot, and call us in the morning.

Did you install these, have them installed, or did the guitar come with them?

The Guitar came with it..... and all the electronics are those gibsons plug in Kits, which adds more confusion to the Whole thing
cuze I am not to familiar w/ them....

Re: Bartolini Jazz Neck , too Rounded for me, I Need more Treble...!!!

Ah - previous owner had them added, without going to a clean circuit (which would have made life easier for you). No worries.

Are both the volume and tone for the neck 250k? If so, that'll sap a lot of the trebles out. Moving to 500ks will bring it back to life.

One warning: Bartolinis aren't for everyone. Their Jazz neck pickup will likely end up as something you can only describe as Guitar HD - an incredible amount of detail in what is going on within a chord, and singing solos, but you will *not* be able to get away with flubs. It will show every flaw in your technique - but it will also shine if you're careful, even under distortion (even lots of it).

Do you know what model the bridge pickup is? I'll make stab at it being the 77D...

Neck H55 Bridge h57.... I like the Bridge a lot, Fat with lots of girth but focus, just the Neck is very havy on the Mids, upper Mids.
