Bass & drum mix -- first pass (clip inside)

Excerpt of the song I am working on at the moment; this is the first pass w drums and bass. First pass = trying to cut out the bad stuff and leave the good stuff. Zero'd faders, no panning. Bit of api compression on the drums to glue 'em together.



Notes: unlike the earlier demos, this features a live drummer, Claire Brock. Claire is a wonderful session drummer based out of London. Bass guitar is a DI, reamped through a SansAmp Bass Driver and CLA Bass plugin.

Don't know a thing about the technical aspect ..but that sounds awesome ..can't tell it from the real thing...

..there's no way I'd ever guess that was'nt a real drummer/bass player :lmao:

But, it is very much a live drummer, Claire Brock. She's a session ace from the UK that played drums on the new album. The last album was recorded using Slate drums but on this one I wanted to callaborate with a live drummer. The album went from demo to finished recordings over the course of 3 months. Just getting the vox recorded now and while the later songs are getting vocals I am starting to mix the earlier songs.

The bass is real as well ... well, as real as you can get with my bass playing!
