Basslines Bridge Pickup Routing

I have a Squier Jazz Bas Deluxe that I'm gonna put a Quarter Pounder 5 Jazz set in. The new bridge pickup is slightly wider so I'm gonna need to route the bridge pickup slot. I could use some good advice. Where can I also get some shielding paint from??

On squires u can just use a neck pickup instead of the bridge jazz unless they came together just get the neck for the bridge slot instead of routing

I'm going to have to go this route w/ my p bass special. The neck version fits with no mods, correct?

Neck does, bridge pickup ears dont even line up

Does the neck p/u fit the bridge route? If it does get another neck p/u, and live with the hum. I wouldnt route!

If you route get a template and a ballbearing router bit

I'm waiting on the neck pickup to come in to see if it will fit the bridge. I may end up just buying an older American Deluxe Jazz V and put thewm in that.
