Basswood body

I have an RG2570 with the IBZ/Dimarzio stock pickups. Looking to upgrade the humbuckers in both neck and bridge. Play EVH, Slash etc....... Looking for a fat tone, with nice harmonics.

Dimarzio ToneZone/TrueVelvet/AirNorton. though I think the AirZone sounds more VanHalen than the TZ and flip the AirNorton backwards as it opens it up a touch and won't be so Honky.

I'm pretty sure he meant Tone Zone in the bridge, and Air Norton neck.

Also, check the model numbers on your pickups vs the Dimarzio equivalents:

The Fred is PAFish but has ton of harmonic overtones and a bit of a growl to it due to that "Dual Resonance" thing. To me it's like the marriage of a PAF bottom and middle with bright Tele top end. So it's like a humbucker with single coil harmonics and the bite of a Tele lead. The Mo'Joe is the same thing but a little hotter and rounder sounding. Even more PAF-like. It's got that "Virtual Vintage" tech in it which tightens the low end and smooths out the highs. I don't know how that's possible but that's what it does.
