Battle of the "less expensive" buckers?

Re: Battle of the "less expensive" buckers?

Don't forget www.rondomusic.net

They have a number or ubercheap, to good but inexpensive pickups and will soon be offering actives.
The actives are the best sounding pickups I have ever heard(and I dislike EMGs greatly).
Warm, smooth, clear...mmmmm.

Lots of low end but instant jazz tone from the neck pickup and the dirty leads from it are great.
The bridge pickup performs like a good bridge pickup should. It does a humbucker twang clean and crunches like no tomorrow dirty.

NO inherent compression or harshness(which I hear in all the EMGs I've heard).

I think the best "deal" is time. And I don't mean that tongue-in-cheek. Just keep an eye out in The Trading Post, on eBay, and elsewhere. And, you really don't have to wait that long. Good deals come up all the time on standard line Duncans. ;)
