BEHRINGER FCB 1010 vs. ROLAND FC300

Hey there!

This should be the final midi-board pedal thread. I'd really like to use the whammy/volume stuff in my T.C. G-Major.

Also, to activate/deactivate certain effects (add e.g. chorus and switch it off)..this is no problem, right?

I know there are some threads concerning this question but it's another Roland board. It seems complicated to me to adjust the midi parameters now because I didn't get into this things yet.

What would you choose? The Roland seems damn robust and it's cool to be able to change the channel in the amp too, is the Behringer capable of this as well?

Re: BEHRINGER FCB 1010 vs. ROLAND FC300

The Behringer. Roland tends to 'dumb down' their boards, and are not suited to controlling multiple devices. Plus they are 3x more expensive. They are very limited on the midi messages they send as well.

Try this:
Learn about midi messages and the different types that control different parameters.
Join the FCB Yahoo group. Read a lot of posts (and the FAQ) and then ask questions.
Get an FCB1010 and the UnO firmware for it.
Download the PC editor so you don't have to program by hand.
Do not buy anything that you don't understand yet- learn what you are looking for first.

I have a fairly complex midi setup, and the Behringer handles it all with ease.
