If it wasn't for Seth Lover designs, Alexander Graham Bell's single coils would be more popular today.
David Gilmour did an album where he split coils and had great BT's, I think it was called The Division Bell :jester:
A better way to get BT's is without a single coil or Strat, for vintage BT's try playing one of these, I hear the harmonics ringing out with liberty http://hanover.blogspot.com/Liberty Bell.JPG
