Best 2 humbuckers to create distinctly different sounds compared to each other

Hi,

I've looked everywhere on the forum for this, as it seems like it would be a common request, but I can't find it, so I'll go ahead and ask:

I'm building a guitar and have dropped into it the SH Jazz humbuckers... they sound great, but of course the difference in the sound between the two is quite subtle...

Without coil tapping or pairing a single coil with a humbucker (I just want to drop in the pickups w/o add'l wiring), what would be 2 humbuckers that, when placed in the same guitar, would give me 2 distinctly different sounds, so that I experience a change in sound when I switch while playing to the other pickups?

Dimebucker in the bridge, A2Pro in the neck.

Swap the bridge Jazz for a JB. Classic combo.

the key is having both pickups still provide usable sounds

Welcome to the forum!
You will gt a lot of answers, but mine would be a Jazz and a Custom Custom. Sort of opposites, EQ-wise.

Use the exact same pickup in two positions. You’ll be surprised how different they sound just by adjusting the height of the pickup to compensate for volume on the bridge

Definitely not 2x Jazz

If you wanna swap one, put a Distortion, Invader, Black Winter, Alt8, Dimebucker/L500xl, Super Distortion, DActivator, or X2N in the bridge

jb neck, jazz neck in the bridge

Both A5 pups, if OP is trying to maximize variation, a ceramic or A8 bridge would do more

JB could work too, but then you'd probably want something other than an A5 pup in the neck (so no jazz) for maximum differences

^ Magnet is not the be all and end all in tone. You could just as easily choose a harsh/bitey A2 pickup as you could a warmer A5. The wind plays a bigger role in tone shaping than the magnet.
