Can't get a MKIV for 1200 anymore. Going rate now is 1300-1400 .

Dual Recto or Single Recto (My choice, I prefer the tone of the Single) for sure.

A used Engl Powerball shouldn't be a too big problem in this price range.

Used Hughes & Kettner Triamp IMHO... enough versatility to cover everything from funk to different shades of classic and modern rock and still have enough gain on the last channel to cover metal comfortably.

Marshall JCM900 MkIII, SL-X or a JCM800 2205/2210.

A JCM800 2203/2204 if you're lucky. Prices are getting higher and higher for those.
