Hey guys.
I worked on an Epiphone Explorer for a buddy a few days ago. I liked the guitar so much, I decided to buy a used one online and fix it up. Thing is I don't like the pickups in it at all. I primarily play in a drop tuning and I want to put this guitar into drop C.
Another thing is that I've been wanting to try some Dimarzios to see how they are. Since I got the guitar for cheap, I have enough leway to swap back to something in the Duncan catalog if the Dimarzios don't work out.
So, hit me with your recommendations for the best pickups Dimarzio has for down tuning. I want a set versatile enough to move through the various metal genres and be able to pass through most hard rock.
