hey, what do you guys think would be the best vintage sounding humbucker to nail clapton's john mayall's bluesbreaker era tone. you know that smooth balanced 'perfect' sound. thanks for any feedback

I'd say a mahogany bodied guitar, a 59n, a Marshall stack and the tone knob turned down.
