Best Jazzmaster under $1000

Asking for a friend, so the responses may be a bit delayed for any questions you may have, but who makes the best Jazzmaster for less than a band?

The main requirements are traditional wiring and not an artist signature. Also, can the Fender Player 2 be reverted to have the rhythm controls?

Tagima makes a nice one for very cheap. I don't know about the wiring but it's got a varitone switch.

A used Vintera 60 is going to be the best quality you will get in your price range with a Fender headstock. The Squier Classic Vibes are pretty good but have a very thick finish. Most non-Fender Jazzmasters you are going to find won't generally be historically accurate
