Best Marshall Valvestate

Let's get a critical review of Valvestates. And by that I don't mean "Valvestate's suck" Which ones sound best? For what? Pro's/Con's of particular configs (head/combo - single/double speaker - effects/none - different years). They are just cheap on the bay. There's got to be a few gems in the series....

I have used the VS-100 in a rehearsal studio a couple of times and liked it a lot. That was with my RG and the Steve's Special. I also tried the AVT-50 with my MH-400 and the Custom and also liked it. I'm not negative about valvestates in general.
