best neck humbuckers

I am trying to figure out what to put in the neck of my ibanez s620ex1. I have already decided on a demon for the bridge. I always used a jb in the past, but I love the presence of the demon. This guitar is an 80s metal setup. I was gonna try to make it real versatile but instead I bought a strat for playing blues, classic rock etc. I like the sh2, but is there anything better suited for what I want the guitar to do? Help!

Are you dead set on only Duncans? For 24 fret guitars ive always had good luck with Dimarzios particularly the Air Norton the Breed and I just a couple weeks ago picked up a Gravity Storm neck they are all excellent

How is that Gravity Storm neck ive been wanting to know how good or bad it sounds since I first heard Vai was releasing a new set. How would it stack up against say a PGn? I was thinking of maybe swapping out my PGn to put one in if it sounds good enough.

I'm not a metal player at all. Blues and Jazzy Blues is what I do.

The Pearly Gates neck model is my favorite.

The Jazz is a little to bright for my tastes.

The 59n is excellent and being a calibrated pickup relative to the 59b, less boomy sounding than a real Gibson 59.

I really dig it its warm and fat with smooth high end has a bit of a vocal midrange you can really hear what you do on the strings it sings so nice on leads. Its about the same output as a PGN the PGN has more grit to it and is looser but if its a 24 fret guitar I would take the gravity storm as the PGN doesnt sing as well in 24 frets.

I play metal and I use a Custom 5 bridge in Charvel and an 80's JB in my Les Paul. Yes, both are used in the neck position...not bridge. For the bridge, I have 80's Distortions in both guitars.

I would go with a Jazz, Alnico II pro or 59 to try and avoid overpowering the bridge. A number of people have said that a Demon in the neck works well too. I liked the Alnico II neck paired with a Demon in my Destroyer.

I was also going to suggest another Demon for the neck. I like the Demon more than the PG (and I really like the PG in the neck), but the Demon is smoother sounding and more balanced. I haven't tried it myself, but that Gravity Storm that Edge suggested also sounds very cool. One of these days I'm going to have to get one to try myself.

Right now I'm really diggin the FuglyBucker in the neck of my #1 because of it's fullness but clarity.

I have a Jazz in the neck of my SG, and I get BB King and Santana sounds with ease. Split and its Hendrixy. Great pup

The PATB-1n is a nice versatile option that is also excellent for what you are talking about.

If the '59 and the Jazz are too muddy for you, you can also check out the DMT Nostalgia or the DiMarzio Liquifire.

Or if you are up for some modding, a polished A4 is a nice magnet for the Full Shred the '59 or the Jazz for neck positions.
