I´m getting a jb for my jackson´s bridge but need help for the neck pickup.
I will be using the neck pickup for mainly leads, and a decent clean tone would be nice as well.
If i did put a jazz or 59 in there , would i loose volume when switching from bridge to neck?
Would a bridge version of a 59 or jazz balance well?
I have a bridge version cool rail in the neck, with a jb bridge in my charvel, and it works great, so something similar to the cool rail but in a full hb size would be great.

One thing you could consider is putting the bridge version of one of the PAF-clones in the neck position. If you chose the 59, you'd use the bridge version which is 8.1k or so instead of the neck, which is 7.4k, or the Seth Lover bridge (also 8.1k) vs. the neck model (7.2k)...you get the idea. Another possibility is the Alnico 2 Pro, which is very full and warm. And because the Alnico 2 Pro bridge model is only 7.85k, it might be ideal.

But before you even look at that, assuming you already have a humbucker in the neck position, try just lowering the pole pieces a bit and then hiking the whole pickup a little closer to the strings. Your situation is primarily output/volume drop relative to the bridge pickup rather than tone, so that might solve the problem, especially if you are open to moving the bridge pickup a little bit more away from the strings.

Or a lil JB? This should be exactly the pickup you meant, except that it doesn't have the right shape.
Or to say it this way: A JB Neck model should be invented!

I like the JB with a Jazz Neck or 59N. Don't want anything hotter or the neck pickup would sound muddy to me at rock volumes.

I'd go with what Seymour recommends: JAZZ Neck.

But the 59N does seem to have a little more oomph so maybe in your case a 59N and JB would be best. That's the combo I put in my brother's Les Paul.

The Distortion neck with an A5 mag would be just that ;)

Is there anyone outthere that tried this?
But it doesn´t matter i guess, i would be to lazy to to it anyway ;)
For now i´m learning towards a 59 bridge model, worth a try anyway.
