best neck position humbucker?

Which pickup do you think is better for that vintage "women tone" while playing with the rhythym pickup on leads? i was thinking either 59 or aph II and another random question if anyone has heard the zeppelin song "fool in the rain" and if u have do you know what affect page uses on that solo or just what pickup he uses thanks

I personally lke the Pearly Gates in the neck... smooth but prominent. But then i haven't really tried many SD neck pickups...

i think the 59 would be good for that tone .. i'd bet that lew the tone master will be along shortly and i know he has the right answer on the 'woman' tone

as for the zep 'fool in the rain' .. sounds like an octaver with a healthy dose of crunchy distortion to me .. no clue on the pup .. i always thought that was a cool solo

By far the 59 is the clear choice.

In a full sized Humbucker, I like the Jazz for the neck. Very warm, full, and creamy.

The APH-1 is also a great neck pu.....makes a great open and classic tone.

59 or Alnico II pro for Clapton woman tone.

I like the PG. It keeps the neck slot on a Paul clear and open.
