Best of Both Worlds

I need some recommendations to get that Neck + Middle stratocaster sound that Eddie used on Best of Both Worlds.

Neck pickup must be a SPLITABLE HUMBUCKER.

Middle pickup must be standard single coil size.

:thanks:

Re: Best of Both Worlds

So Eddie does a fairly unconventional setup for the neck pickup by actually using a higher output humbucker in the neck than the bridge... Not sure if you're down for that kinda thing

As for more regular pickup combos:

Can't go wrong with a Jazz or 59 in the neck and split it with a classic stack

You can also get excellent results from splitting a dimarzio Air Norton or Evolution Neck with a True Velvet

It was a late '50s Strat that he used on that track, so aim towards those tones.

The problem is that a split neck humbucker will just about never sound like an actual Strat pickup. Any reason you're locked into having a neck humbucker? What guitar is this going into?

I am making a Warmoth HSH strat. I guess I COULD go with a HSS pickguard if I am absolutely unsatified with the split humbucker.
