Best out of phase wiring

Hi, I would like to ask you guys what out of phase wiring leads to best result tonewise and outputwise. I mean most different tone (compared to bridge and neck standard tone combinations) and higher output (I know we output will be lower anyway).

bridge and neck in parallel?
bridge and neck in series?
bridge and neck out coils in parallel? Series?

BTW, I am considering a two humbucker guitar...

What is your experience?

Re: Best out of phase wiring

The in series, out-of-phase coil combinations on a Brian May Red Special can be rather interesting.

Re: Best out of phase wiring

my RG2 has an in-seroes/out-of-phase position
and triple shot pickup rings

the OOP with one coil split in either the JB or Jazz
imitates, to my ears, a classic Telecaster sound

other than that its kinda weak and thin
not very usable at all
