Best pickups I have ever heard in my Les Paul Standard!

I have to admit I have tried almost everything in my 2003 LP Standard. Best neck pickup I have ever used in this particular LP is the stock Burstbucker Pro neck pickup. Very bright, clean, never muddy, sounds like a great LP neck pickup. Best bridge is the Custom/59 hybrid I just installed. Both have 500K pots and nickel covers, and I feel like I got it all covered with this LP from beautiful clean to amazing overdrive. By the way, I play in a 90s rock and grunge band....oh fun! :)

Later guys!

Thanks for all the help you guys have given in the past! Great guys here.

What's your problem?

forum

Pronunciation: /ˈfɔːrəm/

Translate forum | into German | into Italian | into Spanish

Definition of forum
noun (plural forums)

  • 1 a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged:
  • an Internet site where users can post comments about a particular issue or topic and reply to other users' postings; a message board.

  • 2 chiefly North American a court or tribunal.

  • 3 (plural fora /ˈfɔːrə/) (in an ancient Roman city) a public square or marketplace used for judicial and other business.

The key word here is EXCHANGE.

The opening post in this thread consists of an assertion followed by a "thank you." It is closed. It invites no reply other than a simple acknowledgement. There is no exchange.

You assert that you are happy with the latest modification to your Gibson Les Paul. I am happy that you are happy with the latest modification to your Gibson Les Paul. Interaction over.

Not much fun, is it?

Jibbycola !

(not as Jibbycola as a 59/Jazz hybrid for the neck, but if it's Jibbycola for you, it's Jibbycola for us).

Re: Best pickups I have ever heard in my Les Paul Standard!

The Oxford English Dictionary has no entry for jibbycola. Must be Strine.

No, it's an Icelandic expression that, apparently, loosely translates as 'fantastic'.

(If there was a Strine equivalent, which i don't think there is, it would surely have to be 'Jibbybeer' !)

HOW DARE YOU POST SOMETHING WITH NO SCOPE FOR MAG SWAP RECOMMENDATIONS

Re: Best pickups I have ever heard in my Les Paul Standard!

I suspect that, by now, we are all on Mr. Magswap's ignore list.

Is Jibbycola available in a seven-string?

Glad yo like it. Not a fan of the BB Pro personally for anything. But, if that is the pup that gets you the sound in that guitar, more power to ya.
