thanx guys...but john correct me if I'm wrong,isn't a real tube pedal supposed to run at high voltages to give a real tube preamp sound just like driven in a tube amp?
I've made some reseach and found that ibanez tube kings both MIJ and US are running on 12V adaptors,hot chili tubester and real tube overdrives are running on direct AC cables...so I assume they sound better than adaptor ones?

That is correct,but it depends on the way the pedal reacts with your gear? I had a buddy that used this pedal with a strat through an AC30 and it was fantastic....

Keep in mind that with modern invertors, any voltage can be had from any other. Laptop computers run on 18-volt battery packs but use 1200-1800 volts for the screen.
Also, cars had radios long before there was solid-state. Many tubes are designed to work from 12-volts.

yea John you're right about the 'ear' thing and I trust my ear about everything but there's a problem of availability here in İstanbul about the gear...it's nearly impossible to find such gear to test&experiment here
unless I bring them here from USA
there are only reissue TS-9's,new crap Boss gear,crap Multifxs,etc...
I try to listen all the clips about different gears but I can't make a decision what it could sound in my setup...that's why I'm relying on you about giving me some hints for the gear so I could bring them here...thanx
