Best String Gauges For (Standard) B Tuning

it has come to my attention that i sing in a weird key. i think that tuning in the standard way, but in B instead of E would be the ticket.

what string gauges would be most comparable to a set of .010ś at this lower tuning ?

thanks.

I use 52-12s, they seem to work fine. 54-12s and 56-13s would be thicker alternatives. (I tune in open B)

I tune to D standard and I like to keep roughly the same feel as 10-46s in standard, so I use 11-54s.

I find the lower you go, the bass strings cause more problems (flubbing all over the place, lack of definition) than the treble strings do.

for tuning to B standard, I'd probably go with a 13-60 set.

Tuning lower won't help which "key" you sing in. Playing the song in a "key" that fits your range would be the way to go.

a weird range would perhaps be better terminology then

and i agree with convoys on 13-60. ive used 13-58 in B, and the low strings are too loose, as well as 13-62, where the low strings are too tight (or don't intonate well because theyre so thick, more like it). 13-60 should be just right for me, at least.
