which would be better? a american fender strat hardtail with 2 invaders (one in the neck and one in the bridge) or an esp kh-602 or epi les paul custom with 2 invaders.

i play metallica, blink 182, velvet revolver, ozzy, lynard skynard, HIM, Avenged sevenfold, AD/DC, all american rejests, so pretty much everything except country.

amp wise not so shur. ethier a vox ac30 head, mesa dual rectifier, or marshall jcm 800

the epi les paul would do pretty well for that music, but you should reconsider that pup setup. maybe a distortion set, or even distortion/jazz? haha and narrow your amp options a little more, the ac30 is a totally different game from the mesa dual rec of the jcm 800.

Both or neither, depending on what oyu want to do with it... they´re 2 pretty different beasts.

THat said, I´ll take a US Original over a cheap knockoff of a knockoff of a US guitar any day, and LTD guitars IMO quallify for the latter (The ESP model is the KH-2 and is MIJ-high quality wheras the LTD is made in Korea)

THe same holds for the ampy, those are totally different horses for different racetracks.... the guitars and amps you´re comparing is like comparing a Top Fuel Funny Car to a Formula one to a Monster truck.... They´re all great, it´s just a question of whether you like driving it, and nobody hgere can really tell you that.

I think you really mean to say you play Rock and Metal with a bit of punk... there´s still classical, flamenco, gypsy, fusion, jazz, rockabilly, ska, pop, reggae, industrial, and lots more that can also be done on the guitar
