Hey guys
I have a strat type body that has a full size humbucker rout . I got a new pickguard (anodized aluminum) and instaled bg1400 in the bridge position
It sounds amazing but it picks up any movement , like strap rubing against the guitar or if i tap the pickguard when the switch is on the bridge position it picks that up all of that very loudly
The neck pickup is not doing that(HS3)
And the worst thing is even with moderate gain it starts squealing beyond control
The pickup is potted ,that is the way it was ordered from the custom shop
Can anybody give me any advice?
Please help

Re: bg 1400 and feedback

my guess is its the baseplate, if there is one. i cant remember if there is on that particular model.

Re: bg 1400 and feedback

can you please tell me what is the solution to the problem if it,s the baseplate
i am performing everyday in nyc with a band or on the street and this is very urgent to my income
thank you in advance

Re: bg 1400 and feedback

reheat the wax between the baseplate and bottom of the bobbin, let it cool completely and then re-install

Re: bg 1400 and feedback

The BG1400 does have a baseplate and reheating the wax will fix the issue if it is the base plate...useing a hair dryer gently heat the baseplate up and let it cool...if you'd rather you can roll a hot soldering iron scross the baseplate as well...just becareful.
