When selecting my pickups I saw that a few recommended purchasing as a set. I ordered only the BG1400 for the bridge and now I am wondering if the original pickups for the middle and neck are going to be ok with the BG1400.
TIA

Welcome to the forum!

They should sound great! But understand that the BG1400 is likely out of phase with both the neck and the middle pickups (if they are stock Fenders). In this case, the easiest way to solve this is to reverse the hot & ground on both the neck and middle pickups.

I was thinking, won't the Nashville neck pup have the cover grounded. Since he's installing the bridge pup anyway, wouldn't it be better to reverse black and green on the BG1400?

Wouldn't you have to re-ground the baseplate if you flip the wires on the BG? So I guess it is the same either way. I was thinking the neck wasn't a normal Tele neck pickup with a cover on that model, but I guess it is.

I think the baseplate is connected to the "bare" wire. So flipping black and green shouldn't hurt anything. Then again, I've never owned a BG1400. An ohmmeter here would be your friend. But you should be able to visually confirm this.

separate every cover and baseplate and connect them to a wire then to ground, that way you can rid off every possible grounding problem and you can easily flip hot and cold pu wire if necessary
