Bill Laurence pickups - eh? what?

So what's the deal with the Bill Laurence pickups? I understand that you have Bill+Becky vs Bill Laurence, but if I want to buy an L500 - who's would I buy? (does it even matter?)

I understand that the original N4 and Dime guitars have the "old" pickups, but the new N4s have the BL-USA, while the Dimes now have the dimebuckers.

Opinions? Thoughts on the matter? Who's combination of magnets, copper wiring and blade polepieces will reign supreme?!

This topic has been discussed a few times before so I would suggest searching the forums to get your answer. I will say that there are a few different opinions regarding this topic though. I have dealt with Bill and Becky and they are great people with an amazing product for a great price, but this is obviously my opinion.
