Birdseye maple fretboards

Are they not the most beautiful things ever? Birdseye maple with abalone inlays is just unbelieveably orgasmic. Who else is obsessed with the pure sex that is birdseye?

i must say that the neck i recently got from USACG is much prettier than the Wolfgangs i have seen.
Now i am oiling the neck and all the birdseyes are coming out as with all the grain marks!
Absolutely stunning!!!!

i want to sleep with the neck but i think my wife will not dig that too much LOL!

that is to say, fretboards and necks... warmoth's vintage modern is a 1 piece neck where they fit the truss rod in underneath the skunk stripe so I usually just think they're all one piece, even though it seems many people make them as two-piece. I'm obsessing over this one piece neck - I can't wait to get one for my strat...

my fender american deluxe neck is birdseye but the thick satin finish covers it up a bit. Would a gentle hi grit wet sanding help bring it out a little more?

I guess I'm in the minority but I've never cared too much for figured fretboards, too much goin' on. Nothing beats polished ebony to my eyes.
