BK Butler Blue Tube pedal

I got to play this through a SF Twin Reverb last night, and while the amp was a bit harsh and bright overall, this was by FAR the best OD I've ever played through. Does anyone else have any experience with this one?
Did Tube works build these? It only says "concept and design by BK Butler" on the box.

Re: BK Butler Blue Tube pedal

Yeah, I have the Real Tube 901. The Blue Tube supposedly has less gain--though both use a a 12AX7. I swapped a GT 12AU7 into my Real Tube, and I like it a lot better.

These are very good pedals, a bit forgotten. I wouldn't hesitate getting a Blue Tube if a good deal presented itself.

They are good sounding units. Ive got the cream colred tube works pedal(not the expensive later model). They soiund good despite the tube in them, which can be a gimmick.

Re: BK Butler Blue Tube pedal

I'm pretty sure it's got full voltage to the plates and stuff...it has a three prong cord attached, so it runs off of wall power. It added SO much juice to the Twin Reverb I played. Lots, and lots of really nice harmonics.
I might be able to swing a deal for not too much $$ with the dude who owns it...he hasn't played it in around 5 years. Wish me luck! I just put a pair of Sylvania tubes in the Musicman, so that pedal would make the best rig I've ever had complete.

BK Butler makes good stuff mang. Not boutique, but good nonetheless. Chandler tube driver is also extremely cool if you can find one. I'd love a bluetube pedal if I could get my hands on one.
