Black Guitar Help!!

Hi

I wonder if someone can help me, ive just bought a new black gloss guitar and have noticed that if I hold it at certain angles under light and look very close I can see tiny marks in the finish (like swirl marks)

Is this completely normal?

There was some marks on the top which i have cleaned off with the new Fender kit....

I hope someone can help

completely normal.

they're pick swirls and dust and all sorts of stuff. you can clean it off and buff it out, but it's gonna be back once you play it.
you cant avoid it on any guitar, but on black ones it's the most pronounced

To be honest when i got the guitar i cleaned it with normal guitar polish and a fender yellow cloth which put a lot of marks on there

Since i have got rid of them with a Microfiber cloth and the Meguirs / Fender Swirl and haze remover and the only marks i can see is if i really look for them

Is it safe to use the Fender kit? and am i worrying about nothing, they are really small

naw.. they arent realy nicks or dings in the body.. it's just on the upmost top of the finish. nothing to worry about

Swirl marks show up best on black. Meguir's Swirl and haze remover works so long as we're talking about poly (I'm not sure how the stuff reacts to lacquer). I'd recommend the stuff from the Autoparts store because I have a feeling it's the same thing as the Meguir's/Fender just in a different package, and a little cheaper.
