black ice question

I was thinking about putting Black Ice in my tone pot. My question is: is it possible to wire a push-pull pot to use black ice in one position for overdrive and a capacitor in the other position so that i can use it as a tone pot?

Yes, you can. But I believe you'll find that there are really good distortion pedals that cost less than the Black Ice . . . which I doubt works worth a dang. And I don't mean "dang".

I would suggest that you don't use a Black Ice. They sound terrible.

If you want to hear what they sound like, you can cheaply make one (if you are handy with a soldering iron)

You can build one for much less. All you need are two schottky diodes. Try looking it up on google. The diodes need to be in opposite directions and very low voltage.
