Black spirit 200 vs Friedman runt 20 head

So I found a Friedman runt 20 head the same price as a black spirit 200. I’ve never seen them below 1000$ while I know technically black spirit beats the runt and is newer I cannot decide. I’m not sure if it’s this boutique bug going around but Friedman to me has a pretty unique sound. The way I look at it is do I want something that can do fewer things but do them better or do I want a workhorse that’s more versatile.

Anyone played a black spirit yet? I don’t want to recrecord a track three times because of the cabs I’m not fully filling out the eq spectrum on each model. From the demos they sound like it goes from highs to lows centric cab modeling instead of actually modeling real speakers
Thoughts or suggestions? This has eaten at me since I found this deal on the runt

I'm torn on this. Have been real curious about the new H&K, but as the owner of six Friedman amps over the past several years, it's hard to beat them. The Runts are my least favorite Friedman amps, but they're still very good. In the end, I'd have to try a Black Spirit to be able to make that decision. I need to ask my music shop buddy if he's getting any Black Spirits in. He's both a Friedman and H&K dealer.

I'm torn on this. Have been real curious about the new H&K, but as the owner of six Friedman amps over the past several years, it's hard to beat them. The Runts are my least favorite Friedman amps, but they're still very good. In the end, I'd have to try a Black Spirit to be able to make that decision. I need to ask my music shop buddy if he's getting any Black Spirits in. He's both a Friedman and H&K dealer.

Yeah I’ve heard that same sentiment about the runt but atm 800$ seems too good to let go and the hand wired ones are substantially more.
As for the h&k I have a grandmeister 40 it’s nice but wouldn’t blow me away like a Friedman so I sold it for 500$.

Here in the sticks it’s hard to get hands on actual new and good amps so let me know if you try it

I'll do that. Where are "the sticks" in your case? I live in Billings, Montana and thought we had the market on living in the sticks covered.
