Black Winter HSH options

One of my freinds is thinking of putting a BW set in his Ibanez HSH. I am thinking a Hot Strat would work in the middle but I am open to any other suggestions seeing singles really are not my thing.

Quarter Pound!

I have a Quarter pound in my RG550 complementing the JB/Jazz pair. In the other 550 I have the BW pair along with the stock Ibanez pickup, which sounds quite good in positions 2 and 4. I rarely used the middle pickup on its own anyway.

Ask him if he wants that pickup to sound like a Strat or not. Also, is volume balance with the other pickups important?

the hot strat is very middy, i like it a lot in the bridge.

I don't think hum cancelling will be huge for this guy. I was thinking this pickip would work because the BWs are middy.

Hot Stack? Hot Stack Plus? These can also be lowered a bit and still provide healthy output (if they get in the way of the pick).

the hot stack isnt that high output, the hot stack plus is similar to the hot strat and has a lot of output and a middy single coil tone. i have one and really like it
