Black Winter Magnet Swaps

I was going to try out some different mags in my Black Winter bridge, but forgot all my mags are in my toolbox at a friend's house like an hour away & I won't be able to stop by any time soon. :grumble: Anyone have any experience or recordings of them with A8 or A5 mags in them?

Not yet I gather. I would be interested to hear how an a8 and a5 roll with it. I know the BW uses 3x thick ceramic magnets and that could dissuade a few people. I wonder how much the wind differs from the JB or Distortion if at all. Cause if not that answers that.

I also heard a rumor that each of the coils has a dofferent coating on it? Like one is poly and the other is enamel? Probably not true but fun to think about.

I know the BW uses 3x thick ceramic magnets and that could dissuade a few people.

Are they the extra thick mags like the DD? or are they normal thickness like a invader? I havent gotten my hands on one yet to find out.

So 3 distortion mags I guess?

Not sure what the size of the mags are but I'd be interested in finding out. I'm really happy with my BWs stock, but if you guys are gonna mod yours, I'd love to hear how it turns out.

So, OP, what are you hoping to achieve by mag-swapping the Black Winters bridge? Or is this one of those "just because" (also known as the "because I can") endeavors?

Magnets is cheap, guitar players be easily bored.

I have to take my Agile LP to a tech to have the bottom plate of my Hellabucker replaced because I changed the magnet so much I stripped one of the flanges on the side

Anyone seen the mags in them. '3 mags' could it be spacer mags like the invader
