I've wondered about that preamp for my SG. Does it still retain the passive sound? I'm curious how it would work with the Gibson Iommi pickups. I have a few Dimarzio stacked single coils pickups in my parts box, which one are you after?

To get the best "passive" type response, you need to use the preamp with lower output pickups. If I recall, the Gibson Iommi model is pretty high on the output charts.

I'm interested in it for the $30... Is it coming with the other pot and the wiring and stuff? And most importantly, is it the short shaft or long shaft one???
