Blackout pot question

I just wired up a Blackout in my guitar, pickup straight to input. Got me to thinking, what would happen if you used a 1 Meg pot instead of the 25K pot? I've used the 1 meg on my passives for years, to get more of the pickup to the output sound... I remember using 500k pots with my EMG 81's, I even called EMG and asked if it was ok to use 500k pots instead of the 25k, and the tech told me yes, if I liked the tone then use them.

I believe active pickups have a lower resistance value than passives
while a 1 meg pot would allow more "pickup to be heard"

you would be almost at the end of the roll before noticing any difference in volume

in effect an on/off knob

I could be wrong
shouldn't be hard to throw one in and see
