whats with the diagram showing 100k tone pot for the bridge? is the black out bridge really dark? I have a set and im getting ready to install, but I have only 4 25k pots? Is that a typo or what?

Re: blackout question

If you go to the Seymour Duncan main page, go to support and then click on wiring diagrams you can see all of the official diagrams. From what I've seen of the blackout diagrams posted there, all the pots are 25k, so maybe there is a typo.

Re: blackout question

Yeah...the Mustaine set uses 100k pots...but I'm pretty sure being interchangeable with EMGs...the BO pots are 25k.

Re: blackout question

I'm sure it's a typo. We pull images from existing diagrams to create new diagrams, and I'm sure that was just an oversight. The 25k pots from your old EMG's or that come packaged with the Blackouts are the right thing to use. No harm in using higher values either, but the taper will be skewed.

Re: blackout question

ya i just wondering because it only says a 100k for the the bridge tone pot on the diagram for 2 volumes and 2 tones, but it says 25k for everything else. My blackouts are going in my les paul, so i just needed some confirmation that I have all the right pots.

Yup, 25k are the right pots, and they'll sound great in a Les Paul!
