Blackouts in an alder strat for metal?

I have an alder strat with maple neck and a flame maple veneer in hss pickup configuration. I want to get the body routed for hsh though and i want new hb's. I first thought the duncan jb or distortion, then the emg 85/81's but now i hear blackouts are better. I want to play heavy metal/metalcore and rock. Ex bands would be breaking Benjamin, bullet for my Valentine, atreyu, 3 days grace, but i also play a tad bit of punk. Suggestions for pickups please?

JB, Custom, and invaders would do perfectly fine for your genres if you don't want to route for battery boxes

Otherwise the EMGs (especially if you also add the EMG SPC for solos) and the Blackouts would do perfectly fine too

Welcome to the forum!

You can certainly play any of that music with passive pickups. The Custom, Invader, Distortion, and JB would all work. They have a high-enough output to drive amps really hard.
