Hey everyone! I'll just jump right in here. So I've been using the 85 in the bridge and 81 in the neck for quite some time, and I really like how it balances. I'm considering the blackouts neck in the bridge, but I'm wondering what neck pickup would go well with it? Since the 81 works so well in the neck, I'm considering the blackouts bridge for the neck, or possibly just using two blackouts neck models. Any insight?

If I had this dilemma, I would just go with the neck blackouts in both positions. It seems more even to me, though probably not as versatile as other combos. You could always use a different kind of blackout in the neck just to have some difference, like the AHB-3 EMTY blackouts.
Just as a random point: You like the 81 in the neck position, and know that sounds good, so in my opinion that seems like a logical choice. Not sure about how it pairs with a blackout, but it's worth a shot!

I am a little confused as to your question- are you saying you like the pickups in your guitar but want to change them? It would make sense to me to go with a matched Blackouts set, as you won't have to hunt for something that works. You can go with 2 neck pickups, but they would be vastly different heights to get them to balance properly.
