Blackouts preamp voltage?

Anybody knows if preamp can be run with 18v?

Yes, but it's a bit noisy. You don't get the same performance as EMGs. The original Livewire pickups used 18v.

It's really hot/high output anyway. I found i could'nt even run mine with high output pickups. It just squashed them flat & made them too dark & muddy. Don't see 18V providing any sort of benefits..
