Blackouts vs EMG SAVs

Has anyone compared the Blackouts with the EMG SAVs (or SVs)? I'm leaning towards the EMGs but would like to hear from anyone who's played both. These will go in my strat.

Haven't played either of the EMG's you mentioned, but if you're considering the SV's then consider Livewire Classic II's.

The BO single is a middier Strat sound while the Livewire Classic II is an excellent 60s vintage sounding pickup.

I'd take either of the Duncan Actives in a second (not because I'm posting this on a Duncan board) over the EMG SA. I've got both the Duncan Active sets and EMG SA's.

Somewhere, sometime, way back when, we did a SDUGF CD and the track I played on. "Bad Mutha," used LiveWire Classic Singles. It's a great vintage Strat sound with plenty of "cluck" and no noise. Same as the Classic IIs.

I wonder if anyone has a link to that.

^^^ That would be cool to hear as I have never heard any samples of the Classic IIs and Evan has got some nice chops.
