I have a set of Blacouts and my guitar is an old Kramer with a panel jack so I had to buy a new stereo jack for it to work.

Problem is I do not know te pinout?

Does anyone know which is the tip, ring and sleeve?

There is a tall fat pin on the outside and two pins on the inside, one tall one short.

Also I have a single coil Blackout being mounted into this:

Notice it doesnt use a strat style plate to mount the pickups.

Anyone have experience mounting this with wood screws? The wood screws that the previous pickup had are too big in diameter.

Do the metal threaded bushings on the single coil blackouts come out easily?

Thanks for your help

:)

Looking at the upper photograph, the terminal closest to your hand is physically connected to the outer parts of the barrel jack. It MUST be the system ground.

I suggest that you plug a cable into the socket. Use a multimeter to test for continuity between each of the remaining terminals and the "sleeve" portion of the other end of your instrument cable. Whichever one gives an open circuit reading is the "ring" contact. This is where I would connect the ground wire from the battery clip.
