Blackstar HT-5, Gibson Flying V, Seth Lover Pickups

Me just dorking around so you can see how the Seth Lovers and Blackstars sound with a bit of gain behind them. I really like these pickups. They're very well balanced. I was about 10 feet away from my amps and had them cranked up pretty good. I didn't get any microphonic feedback whatsoever.

I'm running both of my Blackstar HT-5's together on this. One is panned left and the other is panned right. The one to the right is mic'd with a Sennheiser E609, and the one to the left is mic'd with a Shure SM57. Both have the mic right in the center of the speaker.

The Bass, Mid, and Treble are all set to right around 1 o'clock on the amp. The overdrive is at 3 o'clock. The Volume is at 12 o'clock. The ISF was set to about 8 o'clock.

Heeeh now that is some rocking stuff J F-ing Jolly!!
That is defently one focused tone with some good chew to it!
It doesn't sound too bad I reckon, but it's a little too bright for my taste because I had the ISF knob too far to the left.

That's a tight and articulate sound, kinda 'open' and 'tight' at the same time somehow. Great rock tone and playing, and I like how you mix things up to keep the listening experience interesting. Real solid stuff, i dig it.

Thanks you sir!!:) I really like the pickups alot. They seem to fit really well with the all mahogany V.

Thanks man. I was thinking about doing some soundclips of all the Duncan pickups I have. I was going to do them all playing the same riff. What I would do would be to play the riff by itself so they could be heard alone and then use that same riff with drums, bass, and a little lead fill. I'd be using all of the pickups listed in my signature that I have in my guitars. What do you think?

Re: Blackstar HT-5, Gibson Flying V, Seth Lover Pickups

do it up and post it on youtube. Would make a really good vid for comparing pickups.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to post a video on youtube. I'll do them on Soundclick, but if you know how to do them on youtube for me that would be cool.
