Blackstar ID TVP Amps - Thoughts?

So my birthday is coming up in about a month and a half, my dad asked what kind of amp I wanted and I told him that I wanted a Blackstar ID 260 TVP. I haven't seen any threads that gave a thorough review, I've seen all most of the demos on YouTube, I just wanted some opinions from you guys if you've tried/own one of these amps. Unfortunately there hasn't been a store in my area that carries them, so I can't say for myself. I'm a hobby guitarist, I feel like this amp would be perfect for me to give me a wide array of tones and sounds without breaking the bank. I know it's solid state, I know there are 40W tube amps for the same amount of money, but I like tonal flexibility mainly to experiment around. Plus I'm choosing the 2x12 combo because who doesn't like power and loudness? So, to anybody who has tried or owns one, what are your thoughts?

I have the 60w 1x12. It's a cool amp: Loud enough to hang with a band and lots of different good sounds. FX are pretty good when you dial them in with the PC editor. It's not displacing my AxeFx or Amplifire but it has a place on my depth chart and I'm happy with the purchase.

I hate 2x12 combos because they're bulky and heavy and I'm too lazy to deal with it.

I had a 10w ID, and now own a Fly. They sound better than any other solid state amps I've heard before. Everything Blackstar makes sounds good. The speakers in the Fly are incredible. The other combos sound great too. I'd say go for it and treat yourself to something nice for your birthday.

I love love love my ID 60 head. I'm running it through a 412 w/ WGS speakers right now, and it does everything I need and much more. Since I got the amp, I've discovered so many great tones in it. The effects are definitely good enough me, and everything from clean to crunch to high gain sounds great to my ears. Feel free to drop me a PM if you have anymore questions.

Really good thread. I've been thinking about pulling the trigger for one of these for a while now.

Alec: still waiting for my amplifire :D
