I used it in a strat as bridge pickup. There is a quite interesting wiring by Bill Lawrence.
It uses the standard tone pot only for the bridge and for switching to the tap. Connect the tap to the not used lug of the tone pot. The hot is connected to the switch like standard.
If the tone pot is full up, you heard hear the brighter tap. If you go to 9 on the tone pot you hear the full coil.
