Blower +3/4 Jimmy Page design- Please help!

I need to combine a control bypass with series/parallel, out of phase, bridge paralleled and have had no problems with bypass in the past because I used a 4p2t push pull- However, as discussed in a separate thread (https://forum.seymourduncan.com/showthread.php?323683-Source-for-4pdt-push-pull-pot&highlight=4p2t ), 4p2ts seem to be out of production and we will have to use 4 * dpdt pushpulls.

As a result, I changed the design to bypass controls for the neck only, however, that diagram doesn't appear to work- If you look at the following, it appears that the negative side of the pickup may still be passing thru vol and/or tone.

I really need guru input, because this mod is apparently possible (there is an incomplete diagram on SD site.)

I've also spent so much time on the bypass that I threw this together much faster than normal and would appreciate a sanity check on the rest of the circuit as well.

Thanks so much in advance!

Have you tried coming up with a wiring according to this document?

If you can get that to work it would make it so that the entire wiring scheme would be governed by the position of the switch.

Chris, thanks for the post.

Although we looked at that one, we ended up using a combination of the SD diagram and input from other SDUF members-

If I remember correctly, we originally ruled the one out that you have posted because it allowed backflow to controls from the switch-

However, I'm ready to go back to ground 0, so I'll try a new diagram based on your diagram along with any other ideas that anyone may have.

I used that on a guitar and it worked fine, but your guitar is quite a bit more complicated than mine was.

Ok, here's another try- this one also doesn't seem to work- Really would appreciate some help!

This wiring will completely bypass the vol and tone controls and take the pup (either bridge or neck, whichever you prefer) directly to the output jack.

Re: Blower +3/4 Jimmy Page design- Please help!

When it's in parallel, it looks like the bridge is going into the tone first and then the middle lug of the volume, reverse of what I would expect, and the neck looks grounded out by the series/parallel switch.

Re: Blower +3/4 Jimmy Page design- Please help!

It looks like the connection is to the tone pot first, but electrically it doesn't matter whether the wire is soldered to the tone pot or the vol pot first...they are still connected to each other. I guess it's just easier to understand if a diagram shows the wire connected to the vol pot first. It's the same idea as connecting the capacitor between the vol and tone pots, or just connecting the cap between the middle lug of the tone pot and to ground. Electrically it's all the same.

Ok, went back to diagram that Guitar Doc referenced in #6 and wonder if this might be correct?

BB, I think this may have fixed the ground out on the series/parallel?

Assuming the bypass is finally correct, can you also take one last look at the rest of the circuit? I'm tired of this one, but the Pearly Gates shows up Monday and we've gotta move forward in case we need to swap in 21 day period.

Thanks again for sticking with me guys- I hope we've got it nailed!

Cheers,
