- This is the red channel, gain at about 3PM or so..

I am losing A LOT of tone converting to MP3. I tried a couple converters and they all seemed to really degrade the thing.

This is straight in... no effects of any kind, not even reverb.

ESP MII (JB Bridge)>XTC>Bogner 2X12> SM57

I think this clip would sound better on the blue channel. I try to record that tomorrow. I am just barely figuring out this XTC. There are A LOT of knobs and switched to tweak.

That sound is SICK....just SICK. That's the tone I look for, and what I hear in my head. Guess I need an Extacy.

What kind of preamp and sound card did you use?

My pre-amp was a POX XT. I went from the SM57 into the POD, I just used the POD to control the levels. I don't have a soundcard, the soundcard is built into my MSI motherboard.

woah !! - that tone is massive .. i can't even imagine how huge it must sound in the room .. i know i got addicted to GJs bogner at UGD after only 1 song ... i can't imagine how awesome it'd be to own one ...

i'm curious ... about how loud was it when you were playing? ... are we talking ear-ringing afterwards? loud enough to keep up with a drummer?

The volume was pretty moderate. My wife was watching TV in the other room and wasn't complaining. Not ear blasting loud by any means.

Thanks. That Bogner kicks some tail... it makes anything sound good. I'll be posting a VH4 clip shortly of the same riff.

I use my GT-6 as a pre-amp, just like you use your POD RGN. Works pretty damn well. Too bad I can't get THAT tone.
