I`ve had both and for a high gain 80s tone I`d take the Friedman hands down . While the La Grange could get a very cool high gain 80s tone I felt the low end was really flubby and even using a TS type pedal to tighten it up didn`t help much . The Freidman was also less noisey than the Bogner and had a much tighter low end not to mention better tone options.
