Hi guys,

I have some MP3's posted on Bogner's website. The MP3's demo the Schizo 5 setting on the Metropolis. On the first one, I use a MIM Telecaster with an Antiquity Tele (bridge), Fralin Blues Special (neck), and I play a Fender Am.Std. Strat with Antiquity Firebirds, using the bridge for lead. (Bought the Telecaster pickups from Lew, by the way).

The second one features the Les Paul with the Antiquity Humbucker. This one is an A2 magnet. Check 'em out!

click on MP3 Sounds on the left margin, then Metropolis, and my clips are #19 and #20.

Rock on!

Nice job, Randy! You are in good company on that site, too.

Randy,

Nice tone, especially with the Tele and Firebird-caster. So it sounds like the Firebird works well on the Strat despite the F-spacing, which is good to know. What pickups were in play on the Tele -- sounds like both? Very nice!

Hi guys. Thanks for the encouraging words!

Yeah, the Firebirds work fine with the Strat because they use blade magnets. The mini's use regular pole pieces, so they don't line up too well. The output for the Antiquity Firebird bridge is about 7.5 kohm, and the neck & middle are about 6.5 kohm. They seem to do best with a fairly bright, low-to-mid gain type of setting. Pretty steely sounding. 500k CTS pots, BTW.

The Tele has a Fralin Blues Special in the neck position, and an Antiquity Tele in the bridge. The bridge has an output of about 6.5 kohm, but I think its a-okay for tone. Also, has brass compensated saddles. I bought those from Lew on the forum here a while ago. Best deal around.

I was using the neck pickups for some of the rythym, and the bridge for the power chord stuff. The in-between has great twang as well, just couldn't squeeze it all in there with such a short demo.
