I want to get a pedal for medium gain going through the clean channel of my Peavey Classic 30.

Which one would you guys recommend?

in my experiece, the OCD will give you a british type of gain. but it's really a sweet sounding medium gain overdrive.

I haven't tried the other 2, but the BD-2 is more on the classic Fender drive side.

Not in your list but the crunch channel on a CM Plexitone does wonderful medium gain + you have a great boost to kick it up a notch

Need a little more info about exactly what you want!!!!! There are a ton of pedals and we each will recommend something different...

Is this for: Total pedal OD, or pushing the amp?
What does medium gain mean to you? Tube screamer style, or Metal Zone?
What guitar? Single/Buckers?

When in doubt on this issue, I'm going to off the cuff say that the TS-9, Boss SD-1, and Bad Monkey are all fantastic classics. No reason to go crazy with a basic OD.

I am not a fan of the BD-2 for no particular reason, am not familiar with the Blues Pro. OCD is much loved. Of those three, I'd pick that.

I'm not familiar with the MI Audio pedal but prefer the OCD to the BD-2. That being said, the stock BD-2 is a great pedal for the price.

I had a Keeley modded Bd-2 and it got bumped off my board by the OCD (V2).

i'm not familiar with the BD-2...but...i prefer the Blues Pro over the OCD for Medium gain with a fender type amp for sure...but since the 30 has EL84 tubes in it...i think i'd go with the OCD!
