I wouldn't get that if you wanted a fuzz. Of course you can crank the gain and get it to sound like a fuzz hehe but its not GOOD, its just like the pedal crapping out tonewise. I like the Keeley Modded one for overdrive stuff, but unmodded Im not a fan at all.
My two favorite fuzz pedals are the SD Tweak Fuzz and the Keeley Fuzz Head. Tweak Fuzz can give you those fuzzface tones but will not crap out at nhigh gains like typical vintage type or clone fuzzfaces do. And its got the 6 way knob so you can drastically adjust the sound of the pedal without going crazy.
The Keeley Fuzz Head is like someone put overdrive and fuzz in a blender - not TOO fuzzy, but still has those fuzz characteristics. good luck

well i really am not a fan of Fuzz pedals but im starting to like it.
ive heard the BD-2 at full drive and it was as if it sounded like a fuzz pedal. but i never dime my pedals. so the BD might be, lets say, a mild fuzz, which i am looking right now. or maybe a subtle octaver would be good then run it in series with an OD
anyway, my question is, do you guys think that the BD, although a OD pedal has Fuzz charactaristics?

even though i am a big fan of the modded BD2(mine has the monteallums H2O mos) i wouldn't buy it as a fuzz.....there are dedicated units for fuzz out there.

a modded BD2 cranked full does sound surprisingly fuzz like to me. i dont personally like it mind you. i have the h20 modded bd2 on my board but i dont use it too often. cranked it really sounds like its crapping out which is somewhat fuzz like. i only can get something i really like out of it with the gain set around 10 oclock and using my strat...with buckers forget it
